This was built around the pink beanie as a statement piece. I knew I wanted muted colors for the base so the beanie could draw all of the attention, so I went black and grey, with a bit of pink in the socks to pick up the beanie.
I wanted to wear my denim jacked (even though it’s dead of winter and cold af), and I’m in love with this fit.
I’m also in love with this photo. I don’t do a lot of photos where I sit on the floor. I think I need to try it more often.
I wanted to play with a single color in today’s fit, so built a brown look that I’m pretty pleased with, accenting with green in the socks and watch.
When I showed my wife this photo she said, “That’s a lot of brown!” 😂
I wanted a mostly monochrome fit today, with just a little bit of color, and honestly, this playful grim reaper shirt was perfect. I was particularly happy with how the socks echo the rainbow in the shirt.
This was my first time wearing the pants and sweater, despite having had both for months.
I bought a lot of clothes in 2021, partly as retail therapy, partly because I needed a new wardrobe after losing 100 lbs, and partly because I wanted to do what I’m doing, which is dress better and channel some of my anger/apathy/depression into something productive.
After a ton of fits with the Doc Martens, I wanted to break out my chelsea boots and do a more earth toned fit. This is a variation on one of my favorite fits from back in December, this one going with beige/tan pants and a green collared shirt.
I wore this sweater with the boots back in December, and dug that fit, but wanted to elevate it a bit. I decided to accent this with the black beanie and the collared base layer, and I am really happy with how it came together.
Honestly, this fit was still all about the boots, but I really dig this look, and I love this sweater.
The Orange Fit Orange is one of my favorite colors, and I love this look. I think the socks really elevate it.
The Camo Fit Was going for something way more relaxed in this look. I found these camo joggers thrifting, and I thought they’d go great with the Doc Martens.
