You may remember this video where I very excitedly unboxed the new Fuji X-T1 camera and Fujinon 16-55mm f2.8 lens.

Well, a few weeks after using the camera alongside an Olympus OMD-EM5 II that I was testing, I found myself frustrated with the Fuji and picking up and preferring the Olympus for everyday shooting.

This led me to examine my purchase decision, and I ultimately decided to send back the Fuji and get the Olympus instead.

Though I sent back the Fuji, I do still think it’s a wonderful camera. In the video I explain why I decided to send back the X-T1 and buy an OMD-EM5 II.

In short it came down to three things (In order of importance)

  1. The Viewfinder
  2. The WiFi
  3. The camera controls

Watch the video to see exactly why the OMD-EM5 II won me over.

Your camera is an amazing tool, but it’s no good to you if you don’t know how to use it!

If you want to take control of your camera and use it to take amazing photos like a pro, check out my Guide to Shooting in Manual Mode video course.
