We need to talk about one of the most important aspects of successful editing, which is understanding the idea of editing itself.

I don’t mean the idea of editing in the sense of taking a photo and changing/enhancing the way it looks, what I mean is the entire host of activities involved in “editing photos”

Things like

  • Importing your images
  • Organizing your images
  • Culling your images
  • Making edit selections
  • Editing your selected images
  • Sharing or delivering your edited images

Editing is far more than just changing how your photo looks. It’s is a process, a workflow.

It’s a series of actions that you have to take, only one of which is actually “editing the photo”.

Successful editing means having a successful workflow, and in this video I’ll explain what a workflow is and how to customize your editing workflow for efficient and successful photo editing.

Lightroom is a powerful photography tool, but the problem with powerful tools is they’re often complicated and intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
