Thank you for your purchase! You can download and install your Shortcut using the instructions on this page.

NOTE: The Shortcut has been updated to version 1.1 Here is what has changed:

Version 1.1: 

  • Added Size for Instagram to the menu of options.
    • On instagram, Square or landscape images are optimally sized to 1080 pixels on the width, while portrait images are optimally sized to 1365 pixels on the long edge. Choosing the “Size for Instagram” option will size your images according to these guidelines and automatically save the resized images as jpegs.
  • Added Size for Facebook to the menu of options.
    • On Facebook, images are optimally sized to 2048 pixels on the long edge of the image. Choosing the “Size for Facebook” option will size your images according to these guidelines and automatically save the resized images as jpegs.
  • Updated the shortcut to make it more efficient

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. To run these Shortcuts you’ll need a device running iOS 12 or later, with Apple’s Shortcuts App installed.
  2. You will also need to create two folders in on your iPad in the iCloud/Shortcuts folder. The folder names are case sensitive. DO NOT CAPITALIZE THE FOLDER NAMES
    1. Name folder 1: exports
    2. Name folder 2: resized exports

The following instructions are for iOS 12. If you are running iOS 13/iPadOS, scroll down to the iOS 13/iPadOS section.

To install the shortcut:

  • View/open this page in Safari on the iPad or other iOS device that you wish to install the Shortcut on
  • Click the link for the shortcut to install it. (the link follows these instructions)
  • Clicking the link will open a page that looks like Image 01 on the right (but for the shortcut you just purchased)
  • Click the “Get Shortcut” button
  • It will ask if you want to Open in Shortcuts. Click “Open” (See Image 02 on the right)
  • This will trigger the Shortcuts app to open to a screen like Image 03 on the right
  • Click the “Get Shortcut” button to install the shortcut. This will then open the Shortcut. (See Image 04 on the right)
  • Tap “Done” in the upper right corner to close the shortcut.

Running the Shortcut

  • If it’s not open, open the Shortcuts app
  • Tap the “Library” tab at the bottom of the screen to see your shortcuts if you don’t already see them. (See Image 05 on the right)
  • In your shortcuts list, find the [SHP] – Batch Size and Convert Images Shortcut and tap it to run it!

 

  • If you want to install the shortcut on the home screen so you don’t have to open the shortcuts app to run it:
    • Tap the three dots in the corner of the Shortcut to open it
    • Tap the toggles in the upper right corner of the screen underneath “Done”
    • Choose the “Add to Homescreen” option,
    • Follow the instructions on the Safari page that opens to finish adding it to the home screen.

The following instructions are for iPadOS 13/iOS 13. If you are running iOS 12 use the instructions above

 

To install the shortcut:

First, you must allow for third party shortcuts to be installed on your iPad. To do so:

    1. Open the Settings app
    2. Scroll the sidebar down to find “Shortcuts”
    3. Tap “Shortcuts” to open the Shortcuts options.
    4. On that screen, turn on the “Allow Untrusted Shortcuts” Toggle. (See Image 01at right)
      1. If you do not see the toggle:
        1. Open the Shortcuts app.
        2. Tap “Gallery” on the the lower right of the menu bar to open the Shortcuts gallery
        3. Tap on any Shortcut in the gallery to open it for installation
        4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Shortcut to find the “Add Shortcut” button
        5. Tap the button. This should reveal a warning that you have to enable Untrusted Shortcuts
        6. Return to the Shortcuts options in the Settings app. The toggle should now be there
        7. Turn on the toggle
    5. Enter your passcode to enable third party shortcuts to be installed.
    6. Close the settings app

After enabling third party shortcuts, you can install the shortcut

    1. View/open this page in Safari on the iPad or other iOS device that you wish to install the Shortcut on
    2. Click the link for the shortcut to install it. (the link follows these instructions)
      1. Clicking the link will trigger the Shortcuts app to open to a screen like Image 01 at right
    3. Scroll through the shortcut steps to reveal the button for installing the shortcut (Image 02 at right)
    4. Tap “Add Untrusted Shortcut” to install the shortcut to your Shortcuts Library

Running the Shortcut

  1. In the Shortcuts app, tap the “My Shortcuts” tab to see your Shortcuts (Image 03 at right)
  2. Find the shortcut titled, “[SHP] – Batch Size And Convert Images”, and then tap your shortcut to run it!

(If you want to install it on the homescreen so you don’t have to open the shortcuts app, tap the three dots in the corner of the shortcut, then tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Choose the “Add to Homescreen” option, title it, and then tap the “Add” option!)
