Most people only worry about making sure the shutter speed is fast enough for a sharp photo, or curse the camera when the shutter speed isn’t fast enough and the photo turns out to be a blurry mess.

But shutter speed is more than sharp photos, the other side of the fast shutter speeds you use for sharp photos is long exposure photography.

What’s great about long exposure photography is that you can still take sharp photos, but the results of long exposure photography can often be magical, and I wanted to share with you exactly how to set yourself up for successful long exposure photography.
